Frequently asked questions

What’s Included in the Shaker Set?

Your FRINTIQ shaker set includes:

  • 28 oz Boston shaker tin
  • 18 oz Boston shaker tin
  • Japanese jigger
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • 12-inch bar spoon
  • Walnut muddler
  • Citrus squeezer
  • 2 bottle pourers
  • Walnut display stand

Each piece is designed to give you the core tools needed to mix, measure, strain, muddle, and serve cocktails at home.

How Do I Use the Boston Shaker?
  1. Add your cocktail ingredients and ice to the larger shaker tin.
  2. Place the smaller tin at a slight angle over the larger tin.
  3. Press firmly to create a tight seal.
Shake for about 10–15 seconds, or until the tins feel well chilled.
  4. Tap the side of the shaker near the seal to release it.
  5. Separate the tins and strain your cocktail using the Hawthorne strainer.
How Do I Use the Japanese Jigger?

Use the jigger to measure your cocktail ingredients accurately before adding them to the shaker.

  • Large side: 1 oz
  • Small side: 0.5 oz

Pour each ingredient to the rim for a consistent measure, then add it directly to your shaker tin.

How Do I Use the Hawthorne Strainer?

Place the Hawthorne strainer over the opening of the shaker tin with the coil facing down toward the drink.

Hold it securely in place while pouring to keep ice and larger ingredients inside the shaker while allowing the finished cocktail to flow smoothly into the glass.

How Do I Use the Bar Spoon?

Use the bar spoon for cocktails that are stirred rather than shaken.

  1. Add your ingredients and ice to a mixing glass or shaker tin.
  2. Place the spoon against the inside wall of the glass.
  3. Stir smoothly around the outside edge for about 20–30 seconds.
  4. Strain and serve once the drink is properly chilled and diluted.

The long twisted handle helps the spoon rotate smoothly while stirring.

How Do I Use the Walnut Muddler?

Place fresh herbs, fruit, or other ingredients in the bottom of your shaker tin or mixing glass.

Press and gently twist the muddler to release the flavors and oils.

Avoid crushing delicate herbs too aggressively, since that can create bitter flavors.

How Do I Use the Citrus Squeezer?

Cut your citrus fruit in half and place it cut-side down in the squeezer.

Press the handles together firmly to extract fresh juice directly into your shaker or measuring jigger.

Rinse the squeezer after use and dry thoroughly.

How Do I Use the Bottle Pourers?

Insert the pourers securely into your liquor bottles to help create a smoother, more controlled pour.

Pour with the bottle angled downward and return it upright when finished.

Remove the pourers after use as needed, rinse with warm water, and allow them to dry completely before storing.

How Do I Care for My Shaker Set?
  • Hand wash all pieces with mild soap and warm water.
  • Dry thoroughly after washing to help prevent water spots.
  • Do not soak the walnut muddler or walnut stand.
  • Wipe wooden pieces clean with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that may damage the finish.
  • Make sure all pieces are completely dry before returning them to the stand.

Avoid abrasive scrubbers, harsh cleaners, and prolonged soaking. Dry each piece thoroughly after washing to help maintain the finish and minimize water spots.

How Should I Store My Shaker Set?

Make sure all pieces are clean and completely dry before placing them back on the walnut stand.

Store the set in a cool, dry area away from prolonged moisture or direct heat.

Keeping each tool in its designated place on the stand helps protect the finish and keeps your bar setup organized.

Is the Shaker Set Dishwasher Safe?

For best results, hand wash the set with mild soap and warm water.

Avoid putting the walnut stand or muddler in the dishwasher, and hand washing is also recommended for the finished stainless-steel tools to help preserve their appearance over time.

What Is the Best Way to Keep the Walnut Looking Its Best?

Wipe the walnut stand and muddler with a soft, slightly damp cloth when needed, then dry them immediately.

Avoid soaking the wood, leaving it wet, or using harsh cleaners. Store the wooden pieces in a dry area away from prolonged moisture or direct heat.

Can I Use the Shaker With Hot Liquids?

No. Do not shake hot or boiling liquids in the Boston shaker.

Heat can create pressure inside the sealed tins and cause them to separate unexpectedly. Allow hot ingredients to cool before shaking.

Ice Stamp — How to Use & Care

Create crisp, detailed impressions in seconds with your FRINTIQ solid brass ice stamp. Follow these simple steps for the best results.

Frequently asked questions

How Do I Use the Ice Stamp?
  1. Use a large, solid ice cube for best results.
  2. Let the ice temper for 10–15 seconds.
  3. Center the stamp over the ice.
  4. Press the stamp flat onto the ice for 10–15 seconds.
  5. Lift straight up to reveal the impression.
How Long Should I Press the Stamp on the Ice?

Press the stamp flat against the ice for approximately 10–15 seconds. For the cleanest impression, keep steady pressure and avoid moving the stamp while it is in contact with the ice.

What Type of Ice Works Best?

Solid, flat ice works best. For the best results, use clear ice cubes around 2 inches in size, which provide enough surface area for a clean, detailed impression.

Why Is My Impression Not Coming Out Clearly?

Make sure the ice surface is flat and the brass head is making full contact. Uneven ice, excess frost, or moving the stamp while pressing can cause an incomplete impression.

Do I Need to Heat the Ice Stamp?

No. The solid brass head naturally transfers enough warmth to the ice to create the impression. Heating the stamp is not necessary.

How Do I Clean the Brass Head?

Wipe the brass head with a soft, damp cloth after use and dry it completely. For more thorough cleaning, use mild soap and water on the brass area only.

How Do I Care for the Walnut Handle?

Wipe the walnut handle with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately. Avoid harsh cleaners, prolonged moisture, and dishwasher use.

Can I Soak the Ice Stamp in Water?

No. Do not soak or submerge the ice stamp. Prolonged exposure to water can damage the walnut handle and finish.

How Should I Store the Ice Stamp?

Make sure the stamp is completely clean and dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from prolonged moisture or extreme heat.

How Do I Use the Clear Ice Mold?

How Long Should I Freeze the Ice Mold?

Freeze for approximately 18–21 hours. Do not exceed 26 hours, as overfreezing can make the mold harder to separate.

Why Does the Outside of the Mold Need to Stay Dry?

Keeping the outside of the silicone mold and inside walls of the outer container dry helps prevent sticking and makes removal easier after freezing.

What Should I Do After Removing It From the Freezer?

Let the mold sit for 2–3 minutes. If the silicone layers are difficult to separate, gently pull down the bottom layer and run a little warm water between the two.

Why Is There Cloudy Ice at the Bottom?

This is normal. The directional-freezing design pushes trapped air and impurities downward, leaving the upper cubes clearer.

What Size Ice Cubes Does the Mold Make?

The FRINTIQ Clear Ice Mold creates four large 2-inch clear ice cubes, ideal for whiskey, bourbon, Old Fashioneds, and other cocktails.
